Spring migration is well on its way and the snow geese are flying over in larger and larger flocks each passing day! There is something mesmerizing about seeing the large flocks of snow geese in the sky! I love how they seem so invisible yet in a single moment, just as the light hits their wings, you realize there are thousands above you! This flock was dropping in for a snack and a splash before carrying on to their final destination!
I have never seen this, amazing. This happens on the other side of the Rockies, people travel to see them. Some day!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos!
Tammie, we are so fortunate to live under a migratory flight zone! This was just a small flock but we do see some fairly big flocks as well! It is amazing to see! Yes, you will definitely have to head to the east side of those rockies! It's a must see!
DeleteI'm mesmerized by the photos, I can't imagine what it must be like in real life.
ReplyDeleteIt's actually rather breathtaking Matt! I feel very fortunate to have them fly over our backyard!
DeleteI was thinking the same thing, amazing. How exciting to see this in real life!
ReplyDeleteRenee, you should be able to see them as well ... although they might stay high. I remember living in the Hat when I was little and standing out on the street with my Mom watching the snow geese! Head out to Cavan Lake on the weekend ... you might get a showing! :)
