♬ I am 16, going on 17 and Baby its COLD outside!!!!♬

Clarabell ... the granny of our house will turn 17 this year!  She is my cuddle cat and arrived as a kitten via a surprise from the neighbours many moons ago with a little red ribbon and bow around her neck!  Once a mighty hunter, she now prefers the coziness of our home and on -28C mornings with windchills reaching -37C .... who wouldn't prefer sitting in the window and soaking up the morning sun?   (Hmm ... note to self:  clean dog  nose print ART off window!)

And if you are 'Eli' and 'Max' ... you take it easy on Friday's, especially if there is a sunbeam involved!  Ah, to be a cat!

Sun Bathing

"Little Miss" ... otherwise known as "Missy-Mouse," apparently took the afternoon off from 'mousing' to bask in the sun.  Can't say as I blame her ... the sun was warm but the breeze had a nip to it!  Spring is another day closer!  

Mr. Attitude!

Meet Mr. Attitude ... 'Max!  The boys found him a few years ago as a wee kitten stranded in one of our trees in the middle of January, hours before a bitterly cold snap returned. Hmm ... perhaps it's the memory of that weather that found him leisurely 'window hunting' from our bed on this January, +4C day!  Is it a coincidence that the weather has turned colder and it is now snowing tonight?  Despite the devilish lil' horns that magically appear on the top of his head ... DAILY ... those pale green eyes get us every time!

Afternoon Attitude!

Meet 'Clarabell!'  Yes, the Calico Cat with Cattitude!  Despite it being a 'gorgeous' fall day, she is never short on her attitude either!  The warm sun returned and I believe we reached a high of 18C today.  However, despite 'Clara's basking in the sun,' she strategically sat by the front door ALL day, waiting for her opportunity to get back in the house!  Clara will be 15 years old this fall and my senior lady figures she should bask in the sun from inside the house and not outside!  On cold days I agree with her but unfortunately, on beautiful days, she doesn't get my sympathy!  Needless to say, her strategic planning usually works to her favour and she always seems to get back in the house and back to her 'spot' in a timely manner!

The Hunter!

Meet 'Missy-Mouse,' our small, rather senior, ... but fierce mouser!!  Always on the hunt, this lil' tabby cat loves to snuggle up on the couch in her down time.  However, despite her little frame, this 'hunter' brings home as many gophers as she does mice!  Unfortunately for the mice ... in her world ... they are always in season!
