... Always a Good Thing!
This was the scene once again from my living room windows for much of the morning. Yes, rain brings on the hay and it grows crops but too much rain all at once certainly can reek havoc! A good portion of Southern Alberta is under state of emergencies tonight with heavy flooding and devastating damage! Many of our beautiful Mountain and Foothill communities have been affected with well over 100mm of rain, with more on the way! That much rain added to the snow covered mountain peaks is not a good combination! Southern Alberta will always be home for me and it is heart-wrenching to see friends and family being affected by these devastating floods. Keep safe everyone. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Oh, boy! Flood watch again! Neat shot, though! We have almost a slough on our road coming into our yard! The corrals are a muddy mess! Our hay is almost hip high now! We are trying to fix our corrals, but it is too muddy to use the post hole digger. The posts wouldn't even stay vertical. Hope you are staying above the water line.
ReplyDeleteWe are on high ground and a long way from the river but it's been wet and muddy here as well. Hope you guys are drying out and I hope the poor peeps along the river down in the Hat get to return home soon. :(
