Crazy As A Coot
What would appear to be part chicken, part duck, part grebe is in fact an American Coot (Fulica americana). Often referred to as 'Mud Hens,' these birds act as crazy as they look! You will often find them 'running' across the surface of the water, chasing and charging the local rivals! While the Coots were busy being 'cuckoo,' we were busy enjoying a marvellous, calm, spring day! YEAH!!!

He looks like quite the character, like a comedian in the first photo! I'd love to see the "running" across the water, that would be fun to see!
ReplyDeleteThey are a 'Hoot ... those crazy Coot's!' :)
