Once thick with trees, this slough ... perhaps pond ... was hit by years of drought. Earlier in the day, the geese enjoyed swimming in it once again, and soon the ducks will return. As the sun sets, its nice to see reflections in the water. Yes, WATER!!! You just know that this slough and the surrounding area will be regenerated. I just enjoyed the stark beauty of it and smiled knowing I will continue to enjoy it for many years (wet or dry)!
