If you're not from the prairie,
you don't know the sky,
you can't know the sky.
The bold prairie sky is clear, bright and blue,
Though sometimes cloud messages give us a clue ...

Of all the wonders in the world ... this big ole' prairie sky still marvels me the most! Some say its "too open" ... they feel overwhelmed by the vast openness! I get that ... after a few days in the mountains I feel claustrophobic! I guess scenes like this will always be my comfort blanket ... HOME!
This is a very spectacular sky!!! Very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI guess that everyone loves especially the sky they grew up with - for me, it will always be the sky over Germany, especially when a storm is brewing.
Thank you so much for visiting and for the wonderful comment Carola! I would have to agree 100% with you, I guess the old adage, "home is where the heart is" usually remains the place we grew up in! Stormy skies are always so intriguing!
DeleteSOOOooooo stunning, so much movement and colour and...SPACE!! Great shot Terri.
ReplyDeleteAwe ... thanks Gena! Brady and I were out trying to find a rogue heifer!!!
DeleteI love the colour contrast of the sky and field! The prairie sky is so spectacular! Wonderful perspective too, Terri! I was fortunate to meet David Bouchard at one of our Teachers' Conventions. He signed my book for me and I won one of his books. Lucky man! A very interesting, talented and motivational man!
ReplyDeleteLUCKY YOU!!!! That is so wonderful that you got to meet David! He's a very talented individual!
