COLD!!!
Flat light, low fog, flurries off and on and the return of subzero temperatures!!
It makes staying in and getting up EARLY to watch the Men's Olympic Hockey Final AOK!
Go Canada Go!
Congratulations to all of our Canadian Olympic Athletes!

What's not to love about the twilight hour?
Wow beautiful photos! Especially that owl!
ReplyDeleteLove Snowy Owls! I actually saw 5 total on the weekend but this was the only opportunity I had to capture one.
DeleteBeautiful photos on your blog!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
DeleteThis post got me thinking about sports.
ReplyDeleteOne of the things I like about traveling is being in a place where people follow different sports teams. For example, last summer in Toronto we were around a lot of Toronto Blue Jays fans. I don't think I had ever met a Blue Jays fan before. I knew they existed but I had never seen one. :)
Then there's other sports like hockey. Around here no one really cares about hockey unless the Blackhawks are in the Stanley Cup and then we're just pretending to care so we can be part of championship.
We were in Puerto Vallarta Mexico in 2010 during the Vancouver Olympics. We strolled through the TV lounge while USA was playing Canada in hockey. Canada scored a goal and the place erupted. (lots of Canucks in Puerto Vallarta) It was one of those moments when it really sinks in that there are people who care about hockey as deeply as we care about football.
Very true Matt! Yes, I think most of Canada was shut down watching hockey this past week/weekend and it is very interesting to note what sports are played and cheered on in a region! I can't say we see a great deal of rowing or sailing around here! LOL! I think winter sports are definitely our stronger suit. ;)
DeleteWow, 5 snowy owls in one weekend! I have ever only seen one snowy owl a very long time ago! Lucky woman!
ReplyDeleteCome for a visit Renee! We'll find a few for you to see!
