Prairie Icons in the Night
Welcome to the historic ghost town of Rowley, Alberta! I love visiting this place. There is certainly a 'prairie spirit' that continues to reside where residents no longer live and the Rowley Community Association has certainly worked hard to maintain this historical gem! Filled with history and historic buildings, the grain elevators were saved from the wrecking ball and continue to stand as majestic prairie icons.

You're night time photography is excellent.
ReplyDeleteThank you Matt. I love night photography and the challenges that go with it.
DeleteOn, Terri, I can see I received some great night time photography tips from someone who really knows what she is talking about! Spectacular perspective on the first two, showing passage of time, the leaning elevators, farm equipment...everything...Wow! The Milky Way was really twinkling for you!
ReplyDeleteAwe ... thanks Renee!! I love shooting at night! The Milky Way was certainly twinkling! Have you had a chance to experiment with some settings?
DeleteNo, I've been so busy during the day, that I have been wiped out at night!
DeleteI understand completely!!! After full days and 3 nights of night photography!!! UGH!!! Talk about bags under one's eyes! LOL!
DeleteHey T...who said it's too dark to plough! You took the real and turned it into the mystic. That's how art is made...FANTASTIC! My folks are back in the house now. They're having a little drywall replaced in the basement but that's about it...basically nothing compared to most.
ReplyDeleteHi Dennis! So good to hear from you! Thank you for the wonderful compliment! I was really pleased with how these shots turned out! I need to go back and take some more! Glad to hear your folks are back home and that their home received minimal damage. That is good news.
