We celebrated Canada's 144th birthday today and instead of finding a parade or a party we choose to explore a bit of the beauty we live in with our boys! Just south of us, is Drumheller, Alberta and the Canadian Badlands! West of Munson, AB is Horse Thief Canyon. It was an awesome day ... bright, sunny and HOT!! I loved it! Then again, I always say ... its warmer south of the #9! The cacti were in bloom, the vegetation is GREEN and the mosquitoes were well behaved! It was a fantastic day with family and a great way to celebrate Canada Day! Happy Canada Day Everyone! :)
Great pictures as always, Terri! Loved them all, but, as you well know the flowers are my favorite. Well not counting you and your family! What is the redish/orange one? Love the way you decided to celebrate!
ReplyDeleteThanks T1! The flower is called a Wood Lily or Wild Tiger Lily (Lilium philadephicum) ... there becoming a bit rare ... to many being picked! :( And the others are Prickly Pear Cactus of course! :)
