Monday, March 3, 2014:
Between Old Man Winter's subzero temps and wicked wind chills and the work of "Murphy," our main livestock waterer for the cows became a victim! The heat source fried ... the livestock waterer a large frozen block of ice! UGH! Our boys and their Dad, worked for several hours under a tarp and with the aid of a heater ... alas, still no water! Covered with the tarp and an extra heating element inside ... perhaps by morning the water will flow ...
Tuesday, March 4, 2014:
"Fiddle Sticks!" 'Murphy' still lingers and the water still did not flow ... even after several hours using steam down the water pipe! UGH! This is when my husband and I usually remind each other that we are "living the dream!" So with that, my trusty chainsaw was swung into action cutting a water hole down by the dugout and fingers crossed the water is flowing tomorrow!
Wow this is intense …hope you have water now! You are "living the dream" only it is very real. Here's hoping spring is just around the corner.
ReplyDeleteStill no water Sally ... she is froze about 10 ft down the line. UGH! So we are chopping a hole every day! The weather is supposed to start warming up by the weekend so hopefully we can get it to release this weekend! I love living the dream but like anything it certainly has its moments! LOL!
