The Male House Sparrow
The Female House Sparrow
Female Common Redpoll's
*Sigh* ... the majority of our song birds/birds migrate south for the winter BUT on bright blue, sunny days I love the clatter of 'cheeps' and 'chits' from the combined chaos of the House Sparrows (Passser domesticus) and the Common Red Polls (Carduelis flammea). They fill my trees by the 100's and certainly break the winter silence!
I'm surprised you led with the House Sparrow...nice shots but you Redpolls are excellent!
ReplyDeleteHouse sparrows never get any glory ... had to give them their moment! Hahaha! What would are winter's be without their 'cheep, cheeps?' Gotta love lil' Redpolls!!! Thank you kind sir! :)
DeleteThank goodness for our little feathered friends. They do warm up our winter! It is great that they perched long enough for you to get theses shots!
ReplyDeleteIndeed Renee! :)
DeleteUp close even the house sparrows make an interesting shot. The last redpoll shot is my favorite though.
ReplyDeleteWinter would be rather dull and very quiet without the House Sparrows and sometimes you just have to look for beauty ... or character! The last redpoll shot is my fav as well!
