It has been and still is a bit 'wintery' today! In fact, there is still a snowfall warning in effect! The white stuff has been falling all day and is still falling! I feel like 'Dreaming of a White Christmas' and our boys are hoping for a 'snow day!' I guess we will see what morning brings! Snow, how lucky. We are getting rain...and very frozen, slippery roads. Of all the years I've been teaching, I think we have only had one official snow day, and I happened to be on maternity leave. Even if a snow day is declared, teachers still have to go in for the neighborhood kids. There have been a few days when our yard was drifted in, and we couldn't get out, but school still was on. Mind you, there are a lot of families who personally declare snow days and the kids stay home. Imagine that in the city. Gesh!
ReplyDeleteWe've never personally declared a snow day but the boys usually get at least one or two of them a year via the school! Alas, Monday was not one of those days! LOL!
