Ahhhh ... meet Papa Moose! This is the 3rd year in a row that I've spotted this handsome looking lad! Judging by his size I would say he definitely 'rules' these parts!
It seems so strange to see a mouse in an open field! I am usedvtonseeing them near water or in the forest in Cypress Hills! Gee, you sure are fortunate to have such diverse wildlife near you, well, mostly fortunate anyway!
Too funny ... you actually wrote 'mouse' (although I knew what you meant) ... which would be entertaining to see them near water in the Cypress Hills! LOL! Yes, we are very fortunate to live where we do (most days) Renee. We are in a transition zone between the Aspen Parkland and the Mixed Grass Prairie and not far from the Red Deer River, so our wildlife is quite diverse. Lots of deer, moose, elk and some of those other critters that are currently on my bad list! We are also in a huge migratory zone and with so many prairie pot hole sloughs ... ducks and geese are abundant!
