The thermometer reached 20.5 C today ... finally!!! Hints of green popped everywhere and in the distance you could finally hear the Western Meadowlarks (Sturnella neglecta). They've been slow to return this year but finally their 'flute-like' warbles can be heard ringing from fenceposts, power lines, or in this case, a road sign! Welcome home 'Meadowlarks!' I know I am always happy to see you return!
