Drip, Drip ... Drop

A quick snap just before I headed off with the boys to their hockey practice.  Any day in January that includes snow melting off my roof and the formation of icicles is a good winter day in my books!  Let's hope these mild temperatures last for a few more days!

  1. we have been above freezing for at least a week
    roads are icy
    snow is melting or crunchy
snow and ice sliding off hot roofs
feels a bit like spring, too early

    1. We will often get chinook winds roll in off the eastern slopes of the Rockies Tammie. Although not as often and as strong as in Southern Alberta, they do reach Central Alberta. It usually causes a bit of spring fever and then you get slammed with winter reality all over again! I hope your icy conditions clear soon! That is always the 'yucky' part of winter.
