Perspective! I can only imagine a hawk's perspective! Do they see colour? Do you think they noticed our field of flax is turning blue? Hmm ... I wonder what it would be like to soar over my prairie sea of blue?
Yes, this is our second year for growing flax and it is just coming into full bloom. This year, I am fortunate enough to enjoy a bit of blue set against canola yellow! Definitely a vibrant scene!
Well, I see the hawks returned to visit! How lucky! Don't canola and flax make a lovely picture together? Last year down the road from us, this combo was growing. I said to myself, "I have to snap a photo", but never did because by the time I thought of it, it was evening and the flax were closed. One day in the morning, I decided to try, unfortunately, I was too late, the crop had been harvested ! Carpe diem!
ReplyDeleteLucky for me ... there is usually no shortage of hawks! Good thing, something has to eat the pesky voles!!! I think I am going to start importing snakes from south of the #9 Hwy! Flax and canola is beautiful ... and I need to get a shot of that as well! :)
